Fabulous cotton bedding / UPDATE on color variations but still pleased

The media could not be loaded.

100% Cotton Sheet Set, Twin XL / Color: Mineral / ASIN: B0967TMDJB / $45 –> $38Mercerizing is a chemical process performed while stretching the yarns that enhances and improves the natural properties of cotton. I am not sure why the thread count isn’t listed because these sheets are very good quality and appear to have a thread count of 300. But that’s just a guess when comparing to other known sheets. For most, this is ideal — not stiff, more breathable, soft with good durability. The needlework is single stitched and hopefully the locking is good so they hold up with repeated washing. But I will say that they laundered on the first go exceptionally well leaving a clean, smooth, comfortable sheet. The mineral green color is a darker shade than what is depicted, more of an earthy green than a minty green. I would keep that in mind when choosing any color as there will likely be some variation. This bedding from LANE LINEN truly is wonderful. A lot of time was spent searching sheets for a family member and after several local trips and countless web searches, it felt good to finally settle on something. I am very satisfied with the result, and most importantly, my mother loves everything about them! The satchel is nice to keep the set clean and organized between uses. Ordering a second set for her soon (cocoon) as well as a queen set for myself (snowdrop).Update 01.21.26: I did order the other sets as mentioned, and as expected, the color cocoon is more of a mustard yellow and not the sunny soft Easter Sunday yellow it appears to be in the listing. No complaints on this end as we still like the colors received to date but there should be some better representation in the listing. Photos of the mustard yellow (cocoon) sheets added and note the price for those was $45. However, the snowdrop has yet to be delivered and it will be returned if it turns out to be a dark grey. I don’t like sleeping on dark sheets.

    Great sheets!

UPDATE 6/1/24: I decided to update the review after a couple months of use- because I feel that’s fair. I did end up purchasing a second set in the bright white. These sheets wash really well, dry quickly on the low dryer setting, and they DO get softer after each wash! There’s no pilling, and I’ve not had to worry about whether they will rip or tear. It seems that they will last quite a long time. I am completely happy with my purchase! I’ll purchase them for as long as they continue to make and carry them! After eyeballing these sheets and the reviews for a while, they went on sale-further reduced from an already low price (we all know how expensive sheets can be). My thought process was of these sheets didn’t work out, I didn’t spend that much and it wouldn’t be a huge loss. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! It took a bit to receive them, but they showed up yesterday and I immediately put them in the wash, and dried on low as instructed. They didn’t take too long to dry- and naturally, 100% cotton is going to be a little more wrinkly than others. That doesn’t bother me. I put these sheets on straight out of the dryer. I had zero issues with the fitted sheet fitting my mattress. The top sheet is not as wide as I’m used to, but it’s large enough. Now, the real test! We slept on them last night. They are so soft! Now, if you’re used to the sateen feel- this is going to be a little different. I’ve had all sheet ranges in the past from 1000 thread count, to 200 thread count. I sleep warm, so I need sheets that breathe and can’t use the 1000 thread counts. These sheets fit the bill perfectly! I felt like they are breathable, and I didn’t sweat. I was so cozy. In fact, I woke up a few times in the middle of the night just to move around in bed and relish in the coziness. They honestly feel like the sheets we’ve slept in at the Four Seasons hotel. Are they super thick? No. But I dislike thick sheets. They seem very well made and I have no concerns that they are going to last. Others have mentioned that they further soften with each wash. I’m looking forward to that and truly considering purchasing more and throwing away all of my old sets. I purchased the bright white, so I’ve had no issues with color as others have. They are truly bright white. I regret not purchasing these sooner!

    Very good quality

I LOVE these sheets! They are such good quality and very comfortable me on my skin. I have severe eczema so I needed cotton sheets and these have been a life saver. I love the pattern on them and they feel very soft. I will say these sheets do keep you warm so probably not the best for summer but they’re great for winter! Overall these are SUCH GOOD value for your money! $45 for organic cotton sheets is insane!

    We love their softness!

They are comfortable, very functional, and their plain white pattern is easy to wash. They might not stay on the mattress well (they slip) but, it is ok. They are perfect for both warm and cold weather. Their are not super thick and after few months it feels they are going to rip soon, but, we will still buy them. They have a great comfort/affordability balance.

Exactly What I Have Been Searching For

I’ve reached that point in time when, no matter how you try to convince yourself your sheets have a few more washes before they disintegrate, you realize you’ve already lost that battle. So that means I needed to buy sheets. This set came up in my search and noticed they were more than reasonable in cost for Organic Cotton. My concerns were then turned to how do they survive; like by using cheap labor? Or other unethical practices? I was relieved when I read through the product info and photos that Lane Linen noted that this is ethically made with Fair Trade Practices. This brand even provides a reusable bag that holds the sheets instead of plastic wrapping. With the facts in hand, I took the chance and purchased the Queen set in white.I confess that I expected cheap sheets that would last a few washes then become so thin they wouldn’t beworth keeping (ending up on my closet shelf), but was willing to take the chance for the price. I received the sheets on Christmas Eve, as I needed my sheets for the Guest Room in my house. Since I threw the bad sheets away, I only had my set of sheets. I figured I would use my washed sheets and put the Lane Linen sheets on my bed just in case they weren’t great.I ended up really pleasantly surprised along with being extremely impressed. The quality is there. I know most people will complain that they aren’t heavy enough. Well, to me, living in Florida, well these are downright perfect for this weather zone. And yes, they may not be a 1000 count sheets, but after weekly washing, the sheets have gotten softer and softer, and have yet to get thinner. The lint tray in the dryer doesn’t fill up with tons of cotton which means to me this product’s sheets are well made by the means of a great weaving of those sheets.I did see some people have written reviews saying they have a 15″ mattress and the fitted bottom sheet doesn’t fit. I guess I’m the lucky one. My 15″ memory foam Queen mattress (with no pillow top) has no issue as the sheet fits perfectly. Out of the dryer, it is tight, however, after one night, I noticed that the fitted sheet relaxed and went back to its normal size.My Review:PROs: Inexpensive, Organic cotton, no chemicals touch the sheets hence never put you at danger, ethically sourced by an environmentally committed company, Queen sized pillowcases included (not standard size).CONs: A few dollars more for pigment dyed sheets, the sheets do wrinkle so they may not be for everyone, the sheets aren’t extremely soft when you first get them. But they aren’t scratchy. They are like brand new sheets that weren’t soaked in chemicals to soften them. I have found that as I wash them weekly, they have gotten softer and softer.Overall: I personally love the sheet set and highly recommend. I did iron the very top part of the sheet along with the pillowcases the first time I washed them. Since I have noticed that the sheets get less wrinkles after each washing, they go from the dryer to the bed. I think I’ll be buying more in the very near future especially since I love sleeping in these sheets. Try them yourself. I think you’ll be pleased with the quality.

    Comfortable quality sheets

I’ve purchased numerous sheet set blends and haven’t been satisfied. The fit was bad and the material ripped and pilled. These sheets fit perfectly and stay tucked in. They are soft and sturdy. The color is nice and the value is good. The sheets provide an even sleeping temperature. Either too warm or too cool.Highly recommended.

These sheets are better than you might think at first glance.

I hesitated to purchase this sheet set as there were more than a few bad reviews. Too thin, pilled, etc. When I received them, the packaging was deceptive. The sheets were in a cardboard box inside a cloth bag with label. The cloth bag’s weave was very thin and the cardboard box showed this clearly. I almost sent it back immediately. But I really needed the sheet set. I opened the package and the sheets were of better quality than the bag. I washed them and they must have shrunk slightly as the weave became even tighter. The shrinkage did not affect the fit. I have absolutely no problems getting them on a 14″ deep split King. I bought these a month ago and they have been washed at least 3 times. They are soft but not wrinkly and feel wonderful to sleep on. The only drawback for me is that the pillowcase on a Twin XL is for a standard pillow and won’t fit my King pillow.

    Nice quality, pretty color

Have been wanting to buy a new set of organic cotton sheets. I purchased these in mineral. It is a very nice subtle/ muted sea great color. The quality seems really nice for the price point. They were a little stiff straight of the package and I washed them right away before putting on the bed and they already feel softer. I’m happy with the purchase for sure.

Good sheets for the $ and yes people, 100% cotton wrinkles.

The media could not be loaded.

So first I want to say – these sheets are wrinkly. Anyone who doesn’t want that needs to know 100% cotton sheets WRINKLE a LOT. It’s not a negative if you understand what you’re buying and what you’re looking for.I’ve been looking for a vintage, or prewashed, cotton sheet that is cool and comfortable – I’m am going through menopause so cool and absorbent is very important. Polyester and other blends are definitely not the deal when it comes to this issue. They will stink to high heaven after 2-3 days if you sweat in your sleep. I try to get a week out of a sheet change right now and can only manage that with 100% cotton sheets.I am not one who likes that hotel quality “crisp” thick, high thread count, sheets. I want soft, lived in, well… vintage-like sheets. The only ones I’ve had that I love are literally vintage from my grandmother’s house. How they survived all these years I’m not sure but that’s the feel I want. They were actually in the back of my linen closet and I found them desperately seeking hot flash friendly sheets. Needless to say – all the other sheets have been tossed and I needed at least one more set (one to wash and one to wear). These are not ‘as soft’ as I was hoping for but if you like a somewhat crisp sheet – these pass. Personally I’m hoping them get softer quickly. But just like wrinkles go with cotton sheets – the more vintage or pre-washed sheets are the more delicate they become and they just don’t last forever. I’m sure the only reason my grandmothers sheets are still hanging on (by a thread 🤣) is because they weren’t always as soft as they are now. They’ve had many lives.I took away one star because the hem at the top of the flat sheet got pretty mangled in the first wash. There’s no ironing that out – even if I was inclined to iron sheets – which I am not. That’s an issue with the fabric bias in the manufacturing process. Unfortunate but not a deal breaker for me. So… what is supposed to be the top (head) of the sheet will have to live at the bottom (foot) because it’s not comfortable. I put a picture of this so you can see what I mean in with the others.Aside from that – there were only one or two spots where the sewing wasn’t excellent quality (and I checked every inch of the stitching to make sure since I knew I would be giving a review on these). I marked the seem with dots so I can see over time if it frays but now that I’ve washed them the fabric has locked in and is fine. And – let’s talk about the thin see-through nature of these sheets. Out of the package they’re pretty sheer. You’ll see this in my pictures. I was a little hesitant about that when I saw other reviews but since I was looking specifically for a cool lightweight sheet I took the plunge. To my surprise – even though these are supposed to have been prewashed – they shrunk in the first wash. Not so much they don’t fit but enough that the fibers got closer together and locked in. They are no longer see through. I thought that was interesting so I wanted to mention that. The pictures I’m posting with this review show the new unwashed out-of-the-box condition. After washing they become a) no longer gauze-like and see through & b) more crisp and a little less soft… but my guess is they’ll soften back up over time.I wasn’t sure if I would purchase these again or not when I first pulled them out of the package. But after sleeping on them a few nights I can say they work for me very well.So if you’re a lover of cotton sheets and don’t love thick stiff heavy ones… these are worth a try.The price point is not prohibitive for 100%. I would consider these a mid-grade quality, good product for the money. I have no complaints for the price to quality ratio. I expect they will last and serve me well.

    Good Value for the $$

The sheets are very nice, actually they are better than I thought they were going to be. I thought they were going to be very thin when I first got them, but after they were washed, they came together nicely. They aren’t soft as silk… but not bad for a low to mid-range priced sheet. The fit was perfect, not too loose or too tight, with good strong elastic to hold them in place. These aren’t percale sheets so they are warmer than percale would be, I like to be sleep warm so that is a plus for me. However, they do tend to follow you if you move around much. I am a restless sleeper and i have to pull the sheet away when I turn or slide over. I would purchase the sheets again.
